VP/Senior VP – Operations Business Manager

Top Tier Investment Bank is looking for a new Business Manager to assist the Regional Head of Operations with the continuing growth and development of the team.

This top tier bank has a significant amount of development and growth planned for 2011 and beyond. The bulk of this growth is intended to take place across Asia particularly in the Emerging Markets. The Operations function needs to be responsive to these demands whilst balancing global initiatives for increasing standardisation of process and system utilisation. In order to help the Regional Head define how this is best done, re: headcount utilisation, system enhancement, training etc they need a new Business Manager.

Job Description for Business Manager Role

• Work closely with the Regional Head of Operations to help define the future landscape/architecture of the Operations function
• Oversee continual implementation of this Target Operating Model
• Resource planning for Headcount across the region
• Work with heads of Trading to define and shape their demands for support from the Operations department
• Speak with Global operational counterparts re: global initiatives for standardization of process and system utilization
• Help define development plans for existing members of the Operations team.
• Significant role in defining recruitment processes for the team.

Requirements for Business Manager Role

• 8+ Years Investment Banking Operations Experience as a minimum
• Broad Product Knowledge
• Prior experience of defining Operational Strategy
• Prior exposure to headcount planning/budgeting useful
• Significant exposure to change/system architecture required
• Excellent Communication skills
